Homemade bean balls are great for a wet, miserable, cold, Monday evening supper. I served these with crushed Anya potatoes. Anya pots are a cross between Désirée and Pink Fir Apple spuds. To make them you boil the potatoes until they are soft then put them in a lighlty oiled baking tray and slightly crush each one with a sharp fork. Spray with some olive oil and bake in a hot oven until brown and crispy. Five minutes before they are ready, throw a few capers onto them. Serve the crushed potatoes with your bean balls, a rich tomato sauce and some greenery! I had garden salad and broad beans – first of the year! Well it is supposed to be summer FFS!!
