I love this time of year. The garden is beginning to wake up. The way the ferns slowly uncurl is quite magical.
I am hoping to grow quite a lot of food in the garden this year. Yesterday I planted the seeds for a wide range of salad leaves including: Lollo Rossa, Rocket, Green Oak Leaf Lettuce, Mustard Osaka Purple, Cocarde Lettuce and Golden Streaks Mustard. I also have new herbs for my herb tub; thyme and rosemary. Marc has planted tomatoes, green beans and chillies. The redcurrant and blueberry bushes are beginning to flower already and the strawberry pot looks set to do well this year. It’s good fun growing your own food and I reckon it tastes much nicer too!
